Why Make This Change?

Sometimes golfers get hot, but they don't climb the official world golf rankings as quickly as they become favorites in vegas. Especially if they are on the LIV tour and not earning any world rankings points.

With many top golfers in the world now playing on the LIV tour, the Official World Golf Rankings are no longer the best way to break out the tiers for your golf pools. Golfers playing on the LIV tour are not currently earning any world ranking points, causing their OWGR to plummet.

Have a look at recent trends for Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka ...

Using our standard 6 tier picksheet by world rank, DJ and Koepka would be relegated to the 4th and 5th Tier. But using current Masters Odds to break out the tiers you see that DJ falls in Tier 1 and Koepka in Tier 2, which seems like a better representation of their abilities.

The LIV development, plus lots of user feedback requesting odds, were the primary reasons why we chose to rollout golf pool tiers by odds as an alternative to world rank.

Join Pool & Edit Entry (Change Picks)

• Displays odds (when available) and world rank to help make picks
• Golfers sorted based on admin sort option instead of always alphabetical
• Info Buttons added in "Your Info" section at bottom
• Agree to Terms more prominently displayed
• Popup explainer for world rank and odds when clicked

Create Pool, PGA Single Tournament

• Most Popular Setup now has option for 6 tiers by Odds or 6 tiers by World Rank
• Info buttons next to inputs
• Custom setup now has "How will picks be made" selection

Pool Admin

• Copy Link to Join button added to copy just the url to enter the pool instead of entire pretty invitation
• For custom setups, Picksheet Setup required alert added to better guide admin

Modify Picksheet

• Option to sort golfers by Odds, World Rank, or Alphabetical
• Custom setup allows for easily adding golfers in groups of similar odds/rank by clicking the "+" icon
• Warning alert if changes are made, but not saved, and user attempts to exit/refresh the page
• New Setup section added with Tiers by Odds, Tiers by World Rank, No Tiers - Pick Anyone, Custom Setup / Build From Scratch
• Instant picksheet updates with change of dropdown options
• Custom setup instructions/tips prominently displayed
• No Tiers - Pick Anyone has picks required prominently displayed at top
• Add New Tier option added when "Change Tier" or "Assign Tier" is clicked
• Tier customization message added when picksheet is modified
• Custom setup alert not to forget to click Save Picksheet
• Validation prior to save to make sure changes won't invalidate existing entries

• Printable picksheet sorts golfers based on the admin selection instead of always alphabetical
