How It Works

  1. Create Your Pool
  2. Choose your setup - pick squares online with a link, or enter everyone's names to randomize and send link to the grid.
  3. Everyone picks squares online in a 10x10 grid.
  4. Once the board is full, random numbers are generated across the top and the side of the grid, which represent the last digit of the winning horse number and the last digit of the 2nd place horse number.
  5. For example, if the winning horse is #3 and the 2nd place horse is #17, then the winning square is (3,7).
  6. There is no 'live' scoring for this one since it is just one winner after a 2 minute race. You can easily determine the winner by looking at your board online.
  7. Share the link to your board so anyone can access, without having to login.

Pricing

The pool setup is free if you have 4 or less (i.e. 25 squares per person). If you have more than four entries, the cost of the pool $5, paid only by the pool admin.

Rules

The rules are simple. Everyone picks squares in a 10x10 grid. The winning square is determined by the last digit of the winning horse's number and the last digit of the 2nd place horse's number. If a horse is a scratch, that is up to the pool admin to decide how to handle. Each number will likely have two horses assigned since the derby has 20 horses competing.
