How It Works

Football squares is a fun and easy way to add excitement to watching football games with your friends and family. Each participant selects squares on a 10x10 grid, with one axis representing the last digit of the home team's score and the other axis representing the last digit of the away team's score. At the end of each quarter, the scores are checked, and the participant whose square corresponds to the last digits of both teams' scores wins a prize.

Step by Step

1. Create Your Pool
   Go to Create Squares Page, pick 1/2/3 games, choose winning periods, and pick online or enter list of names.
2. Invite Participants (or random assignment)
   Share the unique link generated for your pool with friends and family. They can join and select their squares online. You can also enter a list of names to automatically assign squares randomly.
3. Select Squares
   Participants can pick their squares on the grid. Each square represents a unique combination of the last digits of the home and away team scores.
4. Randomize Numbers
   Once all 100 squares are claimed, the numbers 0-9 are randomly assigned to each row and column, adding an element of surprise.
5. Watch the Games
   Enjoy the Christmas Day football games with your group. We'll keep track of the scores at the end of each quarter and who wins on you live leaderboard.
6. Crown Winners
   Have a prize ready for all the squares that win!

Fun Ways to Play Squares on Christmas

Some ideas on how people like to tweak their board settings for Christmas:

1. All 3 Games, 12 winners total Winners each quarter all day long provides the most moments to celebrate a winner!
2. All 3 Games, Final Score Only: Only 3 winners on the day, one at the end of each game. Using only the final score is good if you want less to follow or give a better chance to numbers other than 0/3/7.
3. Single Game: If your group is only interested in one game, or maybe your gathering is at a certain time, you can just select that game when creating your pool.
4. Host Creates For Everyone: Use the Randomize with List of Names option if you know everyone who will be playing. That way you can setup the board before hand and printout the board for your party, or send everyone the link if they want to follow live on their phone.
5. Themed Prizes: Make it festive by offering holiday-themed prizes for the winners, such as Christmas ornaments, gift cards, or holiday treats.

• $5: 1 game selected, Up to 100 participants
• $10: 2 games selected, Up to 100 participants
• $15: All 3 games selected, Up to 100 participants

Multiple Games in Play

If you choose to include all three Christmas Day games, each participant's square will be active for all games, and each game board will have different random numbers assigned.
